Traina, Joyce Mays of Tampa, FL passed away on November 11th 2015. Born in Barboursville W.V. She moved to Riverview, FL at the age of three. She attended Riverview Elementary, Brandon High School and graduated from The University of Tampa. She started her career as Physical Education Teacher in Broward County, FL. She later married and moved to Miami Springs where she was a member of the Miami Springs Junior Women's club. She then moved back to Tampa in 1976 where she was a Sales Rep and returned to The University of Tampa to coach Tennis. Later worked and retired from Continental Airlines and continued to be a small business owner. She was heavily involved in youth sports in the area. Coached and mentored many young men and woman at East Point Little League and Brandon Cowboys. Preceded in Death by her parents J.G. Mays (Marcella) and brother John Mays. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Tom Traina, sister Doris Lee and one aunt Rosemary Blum, sons Chris, Tony (Donna), Vincent (Jennifer), grand-daughters, Angela, Ashley, Alyssa , LeAnn, great grandkids, Noah, Jacob, Jaylene, nine nieces and 2 nephews and a second mom to many. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17th at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview, FL.
