STATON, Joyce T., 78 of Apollo Beach passed away on
Monday, April 16, 2007. Joyce moved to the area 26
years ago from Miami and was Baptist by faith. She was
a member of The Red Hatters and loved by everyone she
met. She is survived by: her companion, William A.
Reider; sons, William C. Staton, Jr., Kelly B. Staton,
and Gregory L. Staton; daughters, June C. Staton,
Carol E. Cashion, and Joyce A. Staton; brothers,
Herbert L. Thaggard, Jr., and Gary M. Thaggard;
sister, Betty F. Corpela; great-aunt, Ann McGilvery; 6
grandchildren, Kathy Welch, William C. Staton III,
Melissa Staton, Amanda White, Mark Staton, and Kati
Staton; 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 19,
2007
at 2:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the
