Joyce Eileen Sankey, 73, of Valrico, FL passed away Tuesday October 23, 2018.
Born in Fenelton, PA to Leland and Esther Miller, Joyce and her husband Loyal (Mick) were married in 1967 in Butler, PA.  They resided in Pittsburgh until 1985, when the family moved to Valrico.
A graduate of Butler Area High School and Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Joyce was a dedicated Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse at Brandon Regional Hospital until retiring in 2016.
Joyce leaves behind her husband and two children, Michael and Lisa, along with two precious grandchildren, Pressly and Jacxson, her mother, Esther, and brother, Ralph (Lea).
She was a former member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Butler, PA, St. John's Lutheran Church of Pittsburgh, PA, and Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brandon, FL.
Joyce enjoyed gardening, boating, snorkeling, world travel and especially being Nana to her grandchildren.
She will be memorialized at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Riverview, FL on November 2nd.
A memorial gathering will be held at 5:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 6:00, officiated by Pastor Farnsworth of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
