Dr. Joseph R. Migliardi, 90, went to be with the Lord November 21st, 2020. He was a long-time resident of Port Chester, NY, attended Georgetown University Pre-med and Bologna University, Italy where he self-taught himself the language while attending medical school. Joseph started his career as Resident of Queens General where he met his loving wife Susan, then head nurse. He left Queens General and opened an Internist practice in Harrison, NY for three years. He then left his practice, taking a job with Pfizer in Groton, CT, starting his career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Dr. Migliardi transferred in 1970 to Beecham Massengill, Bristol TN. He then moved to Mendham, NJ in 1974 taking a job with Hoechst-Rousell. Additionally, he worked for Ciba-Geigy and ended his career as VP, Medical Research from Bristol Meyers Squibb. In 1994, he retired to Tampa, FL where he enjoyed his long time passion of playing bridge, trivia and golf.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Susan Manzo Migliardi, his sister, Prudence Sabia, his four children and their spouses; Dr. Robert Migliardi (Stephanie), Diana Cassels (Don), Linda Iarussi (Mauro) and Ellen James (Robert). He had six grandchildren, Benjamin, Anthony, Kelsey, Andrew, Alexa and Rachel. Dr. Migliardi will be remembered as a man with a steadfast commitment to his family, an interminable work ethic and the wisdom to balance both. Most of all, his family expresses their gratitude as he will now be able to join his parents, Fred and Carmella Migliardi, his sister, Josephine Didden and his youngest granddaughter, Rachel Migliardi, 20, who have been waiting for him since their passing.
