McMillan, Joseph E., 71, passed away on October 9, 2011. Joseph moved to FL from Chicago 24 years ago. He was a retired CTA operator and was also the proprietor of Joe's Food in Progress Village from 1997 to 2001. He was an avid bowler who had bowled two perfect games; he also enjoyed bicycling and boating. But above all he loved to witness for the Lord. He is preceded in death by his mother, Laura McMillan; father, Eddie McMillan, Sr.; daughter, Vernita McNeil; siblings, Ella Robinson, Daniel McMillan, Lula Cobins, Fannie Adams, Josephine Smith, Cressie McMillan and David McMillan. Joseph is survived by his loving family, wife of 43 years, Delores McMillan; son, Jonas Joseph McMillan and his wife Susan; siblings, Ethel Dorsey, Eddie McMillan, Ernest McMillan and Eddie McMillan, Jr.; and grandchildren, Conner McMillan, Ethan McMillanand Tavion McNeil. There will be a visitation on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm. Joseph will be laid to rest at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
