Durkin, Joseph R, 78, of Riverview, passed away on January 22, 2010. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Joseph earned his degree in engineering from Corning Community College and worked in the Aero Space industry designing aircraft simulators. He served as the president of the Board of the Co-op for Kingswood and loved being apart of the community there. He loved working on his computer, genealogy and the History channel. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 54 years, Shirley Durkin; sons, Arthur (Jennifer) Durkin and Joseph (Shannon) Durkin, Jr.; daughters, Karen (Rick) Nichols, Mary (Rick) Leonard and Susan (Larry) Prince; sisters, Margaret Ritter, Barbara Noto and Anna Mae Blasi; 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 am at Kingswood Club House with a reception to follow.
