Obituary

It is with great sadness the family of Jordan O. Woolard Jr. of Brandon FL, announce his passing.
Jerry as he was called by many, sailed off into the sunset on February 15, 2025 after a long illness. He was born in Petersburg, Virginia on June 13, 1940 to parents Jordan Woolard Sr., and Willie Frances Keys.
He leaves behind the love of his life for 55 years, Sherrill Ciccone Woolard and their 3 children, Jennifer Avant, Laura (Brian) Jones, and Jordan (Caitlin) Woolard III.
He will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren, Cody, Chris, Haley, Katie and Max. He is also survived by his brother, David Woolard and his sister Nancy Urban who still reside in Virginia. He had many nieces and nephew in Virginia and many cousins in Florida.
Jerry served honorably in the U.S. Navy From 1961 - 1983. During his service time he was able to see so much of the world. His duties took him to Cuba, Morocco, Italy and Japan. He also served state side in Washington D.C. , Florida, Virginia, Massachusetts and then to Florida . He was a member of FRA Branch 188 in Hillsborough County.

After serving 22 years, he settled in Brandon, Florida for his retirement. He then went on to work for the State of Florida in Job Service. He retired again in 2002 when he reached Medicare age.
He spent many years collecting records and any other things that caught his fancy. He was Known to frequent garage sales, and all the
flea markets in the area.
He also was very involved in geneology. He contributed a book on the Woolard family with some of his cousins. He loved Disney World. After his retirement, he and Sherrill would drive to Orlando often to go to the Disney Parks. Epcot was their favorite park to go to.They would always stop to set a frozen Cappuccino From Joffrey's - his favorite drink.
There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held later with family. We would like to thank Life Path Hospice For all their care during his illness.
