Jonnie Marvin Basinger, 73, of Brandon, FL and Brainerd, MN, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, FL.  Born on September 21, 1946 in Concord, NC to the proud parents of Marvin & Myrtle (Beach) Basinger, Jonnie was a retired supervisor in the shipping and handling industry.  He moved to the area in 2003, coming from Williamstown Mass and he was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and he was loved by all, a friend to all, and a simple humble man, always making people laugh, and loved NASCAR.  Along with his wife, he was a proud member of the AMVETS, but his main passion in his life was his children and grandchildren.  Jonnie was a loving Husband, Dad, Pa and friend.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 8 years, Carolyn "Carrie" Basinger; his children: son, Karl (Jocelyn) Basinger, daughter, Tina (Dan) Basinger O'Neil and son, Gary Harding; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jonnie was preceded in death by a son, Jonnie and his childrens' mother, Berence Basinger.
