Jon Garrett Parr (67), of Lithia, FL went to be with the Lord on October 11 ^th , 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Jon was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 5 ^th , 1951 to parents Fredric and Betty (Guthrie) Parr.

Jon grew up in St. Charles, IL. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1969 and married his high school sweetheart, Linda. Jon became an air traffic controller and his family relocated to Minnesota. He then worked for Federal Express, from which he retired after 30 years. Jon was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all. He was loved by all who met him because of his easygoing, fun-loving personality.  Jon loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed coaching his daughters, cheering for his grandchildren, and following his favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings.

Jon will be forever remembered by his devoted wife of 49 years, Linda (Miller); daughters, Shannon (Scott) Fest and Elizabeth (James) Parisi; grandchildren, Joseph and Lauren Fest and Makenna and Jaxon Parisi. Jon will also be lovingly remembered by his Father Fredric Parr; brothers, Barry (Linda) Parr and children Brian (Andrea), and Megan (Luke); Michael (Kathleen) Parr and children, Shane and Justin (Jessica); Craig Parr and children Noah, Sadie and Cody and nephew Eric (Leanne) Parr; as well as his extended family and dear friends.

Jon is preceded in death by his mother, Betty (Guthrie) Parr; brother, Fredric "Rick" Parr; grandson, Ty Parisi; and his nephew, Adam Parr.

A celebration of Jon's life will be held on Friday, November 23 ^rd at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 36W925 Red Gate Rd, Saint Charles from 1-3pm with dessert to follow. Memorial donations in memory of Jon can be made to the Shriners Hospital of Tampa, Moffitt Cancer Center or the cancer organization of your choice.
