Obituary

Wyant, John W., 90, of Sun City Center, passed away on May 5, 2018. John grew up in Kittanning, PA, where his father owned the Daily Leader Times. John went on to be the VP of the newspaper. He proudly served in the Army Air Corp and the US Air Force. He was an accomplished trombone player, who enjoyed music, art, philosophy, economics, and religion. John wore a huge smile and always had a twinkle in his eyes. He lived life with a unique flair, proud to be a bit eccentric and lived life on his terms. John was a man with many interests and hobbies; it always seemed he knew something about everything. While very disciplined and astute in economics and an accomplished trombonist, John was a dreamer and adventurer at heart. He loved the outdoors, art, music, philosophy, religion and always curious about the world beyond himself. John happily shared his passions with his family and friends and he taught us to always wonder.  John is survived by his loving family, wife of 64 years, Betty; children, John B. Wyant, and Liza (Jim) Wobensmith; brother, Corbin A. Wyant; and grandchildren, John Charles Wobensmith, and Meghan Lane Wobensmith.
