Wuckovich, John M., 74, of Brandon, Florida, passed away quietly on December 9, 2015.
John was a wonderful husband and incredible father whose family was the single most important thing in his life. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 43 years, Alice Wuckovich; daughters, Stefanie Phillips, and Nicole (Mike) Huff; brother, Tom Wuckovich and wife Dene; and grandchildren, JJ Phillips, 8, Tanner Phillips, 5, and baby Sasha Huff, 6 months.
John was retired after spending more than 35 years in the banking and automobile financing world in Florida. He moved to Tampa in 1964 after growing up in East Conemaugh, where he attended Conemaugh High School, graduating in 1959. He was the son of Michael and Mary Wuckovich, formerly Mary Kuzmiak. His uncle George Kuzmiak and his sons still reside in Conemaugh. John left Conemaugh to serve a four-year stint in the United States Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going fishing for Florida bass whenever time permitted. In his later years after retirement, he was a doting grandfather who devoted countless hours of his time to caring and nurturing his grandsons.
There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
