Obituary

John Michael Snell, 73, of Brandon, Florida, passed away, Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Life Path Hospice House in Sun City, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 2 sisters.

John was born in London, England on March 18, 1946.  He was only six months old when he was brought over on the Queen Mary to reside in Wisconsin with his mother Dorothy.  Later, his father joined them after serving active duty in the military.

John graduated from West Bend High School in 1964.  He then worked at a country club to pay his way through college at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh where he was Vice President of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He finished with a master's degree in History and Psychology. He went on to teach disabled children, but eventually moved into Foodservice  Management.  He was an owner of Sales Systems, a Food Service brokerage, and later took a position at Bell Brokerage.  He went on to be a Regional Sales Manager in the Southeast representing companies such as Jones Dairy Farm, Tennessee Pride and others. He retired in 2014 from Randolph Packing Company.

John loved life.  He enjoyed playing golf, watching football (particularly the Green Bay Packers), drinking Starbucks coffee, shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods, and having Martini's.  He had a love for sport cars, owning two Corvettes and two Nissan 350z's later in his life.  Friends will miss having coffee with him, his corny jokes, and just being in his company.  He could make anyone laugh.

John's favorite vacation places were Lake George, New York in the mountains, Sanibel Island and Siesta Key, FL.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
