Mitchell, John N., 71, lovingly known as Jac, raised in Glen Cove, N.Y., resided in Ft. Worth, Texas, and retired in Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2011, surrounded by family and friends. Jac was a loving father, spouse, and friend, who enjoyed dancing, sailing, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran. Jac attended TCU and was a brother of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was employed in the insurance industry and law enforcement.He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Volpe; his four daughters Jackie Mitchell, Kristi Webb, Tricia Brewster, and Kerry Mitchell; 3 granddaughters, Kamille, Madison, and Hannah Webb; and 2 grandsons, Ryan and Kyle Brewster.
