Gerdy, John Michael "Mike", 68, of Sun City Center, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011. Born in Sharon, Pennsylvania to John and Ruth (Snyder) Gerdy, Mike had been a local resident for eleven years after moving here from Mt. Union, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 269, Trenton, New Jersey. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Viet Nam Veteran. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful and loving man. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Rebecca and many friends. A private memorial service will be held at the Gerdy Household on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "Wounded Warriors Project"
