Waddell, John K. Jr., 53, passed away on April 4, 2011. He was born June 14, 1957 at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, CO. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1976. He attended Seafarers International Maritime School at Piney Point, MD and graduated as a Certified Tankerman on LNG Tankers. During the course of his travels, he was in Russia, Japan, Algeria, Libya and France. Ken was an avid fisherman who loved photography and scuba diving. He is survived by his wife Kerry Waddell of Tampa, FL; daughters, Stephanie Waddell, Sarah Waddell, Samantha Waddell and Melissa Waddell all of Brooksville, FL; parents, John and Virginia Waddell, Sr of Brandon, FL; brother, Jonathan Waddell of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Nancy Waddell of Riverview, FL and Ruth Weintraub of Pine Island, FL; and grandchildren, Nevaeh, Valcary and Damian. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home with a gathering one hour prior. "A beautiful life that came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend. In our hearts a memory will always be kept, of one we loved, and will never forget." The family would requests that guests would view the video entitled "The Dash" by Linda Ellis at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zsY6UrFIsNs My brother Ken wanted to still do some important things for his daughters, who he loved so very much but his life was cut short before he could complete these things with "The Dash". My family and I will always love Ken. He was our "spice of life" and we will miss him dearly, Nancy Waddell. Words of comfort may be expressed at www.serenitymeadows.com
