GreenLeaf, John L., Sr., 85, of Brandon, passed away on September 3, 2017. He was born on September 27, 1931 in Elkton, MI to Edwin and Irene GreenLeaf. John married his beautiful bride, Betty Ruth Cole, on August 16, 1953 in Maroa, IL. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved gardening and was an eclectic collector, including model cars. He loved to work, so much so, that after his retirement he continued to tinker and keep busy. John also enjoyed meeting other people, and was able to talk with anyone. He is preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Miller. John is survived by his loving family, wife, Betty Ruth GreenLeaf; children, John L (Carol) GreenLeaf, Jr., Dianna L ( James) Goodpaster, and Roger G (Diana) GreenLeaf; siblings, Nettie (Peter) Severn, Basil (Gloria) GreenLeaf, Lottie "Dolly" (Walter) Moore, Edwin (Kathy) GreenLeaf, Jr., Jeanne (Joseph) Shilling; grandchildren, Sara, Luke, Danielle, Lauren, Carlyn, Brandi, Jessica, Robby, Chelsea, and Heather; and 17 great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at 1:30 pm Florida National Cemetery.
