John P. Damico, 55 of Riverview, went to join his mother in heaven on December 20, 2010. As a Vietnam veteran, he served in the U.S Navy aboard the John F. Kennedy. He had a long career at Cummins Southeastern Power and Cummins Power South. John loved to play golf, spend Sunday afternoons watching Steeler football with his family and friends, and relaxing with his four legged buddies, Rookie and Maggie. He was born on February 11, 1955 in Greensburg, PA to the late James P. Damico and Joann Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joni Vestrand Damico, son, Jeremy Damico of Seffner, daughter, Jessica Damico of Apollo Beach, brother, Thomas and Bonnie Damico of Brooksville, brother, Rick and Lisa Damico of Tampa, sister, Carol and Jack St Pierre of Dover, sister, Lori and Steve Walchi of Palm Bay, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 pm.
