John M. Csizmadia Jr., age 57, of Riverview, Florida, passed away on August 20, 2026. Born on October 30, 1968, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, John was the beloved son of John Csizmadia Sr. and Patricia Saunderson Csizmadia.
Raised in North Brunswick, John attended Piscataway Vo-Tech High School, where he developed his talent for repairing and fixing things. He began his career with Sears Service Repair in New Jersey before moving to Florida, where he continued his work with Quality Complete Service.
Following in his father’s footsteps, John was a dedicated volunteer firefighter. He proudly served with North Brunswick Company #2 and held the positions of Fire Chief and Township Chief.
John had a passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers, loved riding his 1972 FLH ShovelHead Harley, and looked forward to his annual camping trips with friends. He had a generous heart and a warmth that touched everyone who knew him. John never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Family was at the center of John’s life, and his unwavering devotion to those he loved was evident in everything he did. His dogs were his cherished children, and he took great joy in spoiling them.
John is lovingly remembered by his sister, Julie Bishop, and her husband, Darren; niece Kaley Bishop; nephew Michael Bishop and his wife, Victoria; cousins Robert Saunderson, Pam Voelksen and her husband, John, Kelly Wisneski and her husband, John, and Courtney Snell and her husband, Tommy; and aunt Loretta Saunderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Edwin and Annie Saunderson and Joseph and Arnka Csizmadia; aunt Joan Decker; and uncle Richard Saunderson.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, sense of loyalty, love of family, and willingness to help others will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A visitation will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, followed by a service at 11:30 a.m., where family and friends will gather to lovingly celebrate John’s life and legacy.
