Joe Collera Jr., 85, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, in Valrico surrounded by his family.

Joe Collera Jr. was born in Tampa to Jose Collera Sr. & Delores Contreras on November 13, 1939. He graduated from University of Tampa in 1967. Joe also served in the Army Reserves while attending University. During his time at UT, he met and married his wife, Louise Collera on December 19, 1965. His career began at the IRS, where he was an Auditor for 11 years. Eventually, Joe left the IRS to open his own CPA firm until his retirement in 2009.

Joe was an incredible husband, father, brother and Nano. He was the foundation of his family. Joe was a man of integrity, compassion and generosity. He had a witty sense of humor and loved to travel, watch movies and sports. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but will live in the hearts of his family forever. Joe is survived by his wife: Louise Collera; daughters: Anne Marie Almousa (Shaker) and Jennifer Collera; sister: Nadia Vetrano; Grandchildren: Firas Almousa, Jassim Almousa, Kaitlin Dennison, Marlena Hougland and Phoebe Hougland.

The Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Serenity Meadows located at 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, FL 33578. Directly following the Visitation, Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm with Pastor Frederic Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Serenity Meadows, Garden of Hope.
