IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jodi
Bennett
July 26, 1974 – August 18, 2024
Jodi Marie Bennett (DiCicco) affectionately known as "JoJo" to her family, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 at the young age of 50, after a courageous 6 year battle with breast cancer. Jodi was born on July 26, 1974 in Syracuse, NY as the cherished daughter of Lawrence and Christine DiCicco. She moved to Florida with her family in 1977 and has remained there since. Her happy place was always in the mountains though. Her many trips to Tennessee always made her the happiest. Growing up, Jodi loved to spend time with her sisters and friends laughing, playing and of course as the youngest sister-tattling on her older sisters.
She loved to read books as a teenager and would often be found in the morning still up from the night before, engrossed in her books. Romance books were always her favorite but as she got older, crime books took her interest more. Jodi married at 24 years old and had 2 beautiful children. Alex who was born in September 1998 and Kaitlyn who was born in May 2004. Her children were the absolute biggest joys in her life and she was so proud of them. At 9 years old, Jodi met her new best friends that lived next door. Tony, Lisa and Robby. They spent the time from sunup to sundown just playing outside and running around having fun. Who knew that at 34 years old, Jodi and Tony's paths would cross again and they picked up right where they left off. As her best friend, laughing buddy and confidant. Jodi married Tony on April 21, 2018. She added to her joy when she became a mother to Tony's children Amber and Tony. She loved all 4 of her children and would do anything in the world for them. In 2023, Jodi became a grandmother to the cutest little girl, Audrey. That little girl lit up Jodi's heart.
Jodi worked in the mortgage industry for many years. She made many lasting friends along the way that became family to us. Jodi had so much support, kindness and love from so many people and as her cancer progressed, she was able to make so many lasting memories with all who loved her. Jodi is the absolute definition of what a strong woman is. She fought so hard to destroy her cancer. She deserved to live a much longer and healthier life. Her strength and resilience shows what a beautiful human she was. She will be missed beyond words by so many people. She touched a lot of lives with her kindness and love.
Jodi is predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Christine DiCicco.
She leaves behind her husband Tony, children: Alex, Kaitlyn, Amber and Tony, granddaughter : Audrey, sisters: Kelli, Jamie, Kristin and Lisa ,and brothers: Kory, Frankie and Luis and Robby. Her many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts and Uncles and so many other family and friends.
She also left behind her beloved fur babies: Blu and Belle Belle. "Sisters are angels who lift us up when our wings forget how to fly." Jodi did this for her sisters in life and will continue to from above.
