Jessica Rose Kohut, born December 31, 2002, lost her battle with pediatric cancer-neuroblastoma on February 6, 2009. She is survived by her mother, Maureen Massari and father, Bohdan Kohut as well as her three brothers-Robert, Michael, and Nicholas. She left behind grandparents, Salvatore and Rose Massari; Nanny, Bernadette Simeon who cared for Jessica like her own daughter since the day she was born; Uncles Sal (Katarina) and Michael (Dawn); along with an extended family of great aunts, great uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myroslaw and Nadia Kohut. Jessica had many friends, young and "old" that were dear to her. She touched many lives and was more of an inspiration in six years than most people are in a lifetime. She was sweet, caring, incredibly strong, funny, spirited, and stubborn. She always knew what she wanted, how to get it, and never missed a beat. She was a true princess and a true warrior. She knew it was time to "go home" and, so "home" she went. Jessie, somewhere over the rainbow, you will forever be "our sunshine". Forever precious, forever treasured, forever remembered. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
