Obituary

SERAFIN, Jerome "Jerry" Joseph, age 87, of Brandon, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on September 27, 2020. He was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin on June 22, 1933. He lived in Milwaukee, WI before moving to Brandon, FL in 1972. He is survived by his three sons Michael, Robert (Susan) and Brian (Heather), his daughter Barbara Burke, 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Ann, his son Jerome Maynard (Judy), his daughter Marcella "Marcy" Green (John) and his parents William and Helen Serafin. He served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. Jerome was an award-winning Greyhound bus driver for over thirty years who loved all sports specifically the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was a minority owner of the Green Bay Packers for over two decades. An avid horticulturist who also had a keen sense of humor. He had a love of travel, fishing was a master repairman and most of all he cherished the time spent with his family. He will be deeply missed by all. A Mass of Christian Church Burial will be held at Nativity Catholic Church on Monday, October 5th, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Serenity Meadow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association in Jerry's name.
