Jerome G. Johnson, 87 a resident of Brandon Florida passed away peacefully at his home on March 2, 2022. He was the son of Cleave Johnson and Grace E. (Mullen) Johnson, born in Springfield, MA on March 2, 1935. He attended school and was a former graduate of Trade High school in Springfield, MA and Hillsborough Community College in Tampa FL.

Jerome retired after 26 years of service to his country from the United States Air Force and served 16 years with the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office. He loved baseball (Boston Red Sox), football (New England Patriots), and Basketball (Boston Celtics). He was a Prince Hall Mason. He loved Everyone.

Jerome was pre-deceased by his wife Miyoko Hasegawa Johnson, his two brothers Cleave Johnson and Eugene Johnson, along with sister Jacqueline Lewis.

Jerome leaves his devoted son Gary Johnson (Cynthia), his grandsons Gary Johnson II (Ingrid), and Justin Jerome Johnson. He also leaves his granddaughters Jaime Johnson and Jennifer Johnson; his brother Ronald Johnson and Steven Johnson; his sisters Jane Giles, Lorraine Crump, Maureen Woods and Lauretta King; all of his great grandchildren (8), and his many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Veterans Administration, Orlando Regional Medical Center, and Conway Lakes Rehabilitation Center for all of their outstanding love and care.
