Jennifer Lynn
Hamelin
August 22, 1968 — June 16, 2018
Jennifer Lynn (Rainey) Hamelin, 49, of Brandon, FL passed peacefully in the early morning hours on June 16, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Portland, ME on August 22, 1968, the daughter of Linda A. Marshall and Peter T. Rainey. She was educated in the Westbrook, ME school system as a young child and then later on in her teens through the Portsmouth, NH school district, graduating from Portsmouth High School 1986. For the past 15 years, she was employed through Citigroup as a fraud supervisor. She has resided in a few different areas of Florida over the past 20 years, such as Bradenton, Riverview and Brandon. Being near the ocean, taking her family and friends to the beach was one of her favorite things. She was a very compassionate, caring and loving person, who would literally give her last penny to someone in need. It was not unusual for her to be there to lend an ear or shed a tear with anyone who was in need. She was loved and adored by all who came to know her. Jennifer is predeceased by her mother Linda in 2006 and her brother Jeffrey S. Rainey in 2002. Jenny, as she was lovingly called by all who knew her, was an animal and nature lover. She was recently predeceased by her beloved Chihuahua Shorty, who was her faithful companion for over 12 years. Survivors include; her father Peter of Otisfield, ME; brother Kyle P. Rainey of Brookline, MA and his mother Pamela Cummings of Otisfield, ME; son Andrew D. Hamelin and his longtime love and fiancé Kristy Kirkpatrick, and granddaughters, Hannah Jean and Haylee Jade, of Brandon, FL, nephew Ayden G. Rainey, of Exeter, NH, longtime partner and dear love John Agostini, of Brandon, FL; close friend and mother figure, Joyce Wagoner of Brandon, FL, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will be dearly missed by all. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
