Jeffrey Lynn Gillespie of Brandon, FL passed away on March 26, 2022. He was born in Tampa, FL on December 13, 1955 and lived in Florida most of his life. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents David and Cathleen Gillespie. He is survived by his beloved wife JoEllen "Jodie" Gillespie; brother Timothy Gillespie; children Christopher Gillespie, Jessica (James) Hernandez, Sara (Miguel) Sira, Beth Fiala, Scott Fiala; and grandsons Roy and James Sira.

Jeff earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminology in 1977, and served in the United States Army until 1985. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal in 1982. His career as a Law Enforcement Officer and Crime Analyst spanned four decades. Jeff had an interest in history and a life-long love of gaming. He enjoyed playing guitar and was fluent in Mandarin. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother with a generous heart. Jeff was kind to everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many.

Jeff's ashes will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery, date and time to be determined
