Jeanne Ambler, whose family is in its 8th generation in Northville Michigan, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her daughters home in Florida. She was 95.
Jeanne was a life member of the Northville Mothers Club, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Northville, and longtime member of Lakeland Country Club.

Jeanne played in a bridge club for many years and enjoyed playing cards with her family. One of her many passions were painting in oils and watercolors. Several of her pieces are proudly displayed in the home of her family members. She was also an avid golfer, baker and seamstress.

Jeanne attended Northville High School and was the captain of the girls' basketball team in 1939. There she met her high school sweetheart, Richard Ambler, who she was married to for 67 years before his death in 2012.

Jeanne leaves behind three children, Diane Smeed (Bob) of Lithia, Florida, who she lived near in Florida the past 3 years, Nancy Worthley (Jim) of Carmel, Indiana, and Rick Ambler (Kathy) of Northville, Michigan, 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

There will be open visitation and a church service on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Northville, Michigan. Visitation will be between 10:00AM-11:00AM and the service immediately following.
