Jean Elizabeth Kelsey – July 3, 1936 – November 26, 2018
Jean passed away under the loving care of her family and LifePath Hospice in Brandon, Florida. She is predeceased in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorcas Boley.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jean spent her early years growing up in Montclair, N.J. where she graduated from Montclair High School in 1954. After high school, she attended Traphagen School of Design and later went on to receive her Associate of Arts Degree in Merchandising from New York University. She was a Master Beadier, a Master Seamstress and had a flair for design and colors that was recognized by some of the major design houses in the Garment District of New York City.
Although most people remember Jean as quiet and reserved, her sense of fashion was unequaled. What she didn't say out loud, her beautiful outfits and jewelry, her sense of style would speak for her. One word describes her. Fabulous!
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Ann Kelsey of New Mexico, her three sisters, Joanna Boley-Lee, Joyce Hendricks (Kennedy), Jane Dignam (Charles), 3 nieces, Apryle Barnes (Quincy), Kimberly Cade, Kai Lee, 2 nephews, Joseph Cade (Christy), Jeffrey Cade, and great-niece Chayce Hinds, and great-nephew Randy Vaughn-Truesdale.
Thanks to all the special people in Jean's life at St. John the Divine. Special thanks to Jean's Cardiologist, Dr. Sameer Nagamia, for the loving care of our mother and sister for the past eight years.
Jean always wanted to go back to New Jersey and New York. She now has her wish. She will be interned at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair, New Jersey.
