Jay V. Guss, age 70, passed away August 26, 2016 in Riverview, FL. He was born August 23, 1946, in Minot, ND. He is the son of the late Esther and Joseph Guss. Jay graduated from Minot High School in 1964. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan and his Master's degree from Ohio State. He completed a long career at Ford in Human Resources. Jay was an avid reader with a special interest in Stephen King and also many local Florida authors. He loved taking Donna on vacation and regular trips to "beer can island" with his friends.
Jay is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph, 2 sisters, Peg (Ed), Alene (Phil), and brother-in-law Sherm.
Jay is survived by his loving wife Donna Guss; his sister, Jan Kjera; 2 children, Jason (Carrie) Guss, Gina (Stacey) Dunn; 4 stepchildren, Tammy Green, Richard Green, Brett Green, Mike Valentine; 16 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
