Obituary

Janise Wright was born on October 16, 1955 to Abby and Henry Wright of Collinsville, IL.   She was the youngest of four children and is survived by her three older siblings:  Judy (Mike) Wall of Clearwater Beach, FL, Ron (Donna) Wright of Dow, IL, and Rick Wright of Riverview, FL.  She is also survived by her nieces Becky (Jim) Bazata of Elkhorn, NE, Allison Wright of Tampa, FL, and nephew Bryan (Amy)Wright, of Brighton, IL.

She is also survived by her step children Trent and Madison Bowditch of Pahrump, NV.

Janise graduated Collinsville High School in 1973.  She attended Southern Illinois University and graduated from Rhema Bible Training Institute of Tulsa, OK, in 1978.

From an early age, Janise had a love for others, especially the elderly.  She volunteered in a nursing home as a teenager and it's not surprising that her final position was as Assistant Manager at Irongate Apts. – an over 55 community.

That 'dash' on her life was filled with a lot of living.   She was married twice and divorced twice.  Her first husband, Dan Vasalli, still lives in St. Louis, MO.   Her second husband, John Bowditch, lives in Pahrump, NV.

Janise's life in the St. Louis area was filled with family and friends.  She met Dan while working as an assistant to a stock broker.  They married in 1983.  Right before marrying Dan, she became a flight attendant for TWA where she worked until she moved to Las Vegas to begin a new start in 1993.   That's where she met and married John Bowditch in 2002, who had a son, Trent, and a daughter, Madison.

In 2008 Janise made the move to Florida to be near her aging parents and family.  She remained very close to her step children, especially Madison, in spite of the divorce from their father.  She made it a point to let them know that they would always be loved by her.  In fact, one of her last acts of love for Madison was to fly to Las Vegas over Memorial Day weekend to attend Madison's high school graduation.  It's pretty easy to say that Madison was the love of Janise's life.  She was so proud of her and so committed to being her 'mom'.

What some folks may not know is that she had some awesome artistic talent.  She loved to paint seascapes and had real eye for color.  Her two favorite spots on earth were the beach and then Red Rock Canyon in NV.  Her hobbies of painting and collecting heart shaped rocks filled her home.  While living in Las Vegas she spent many weekends hiking and exploring Red Rock.

Lastly, but for sure the MOST important aspect of her life was her love of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Her faith saw her through many ups and downs in her life.  It is comforting to know that she is now in Heaven reunited with loved ones and rejoicing with the angels.
