Janet Elizabeth Mankowski, age 69, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died peacefully on April 10, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1953 in Birkenhead, England, to John and Nora Mankowski. She is survived by her devoted mother, Nora; her daughter, Jessica Archiquette, and was blessed with five wonderful grandchildren: Tyler and Cody Stafford, Zackary Graham, and Madison and Kylie Archiquette.

Janet is survived by her two brothers, David Mankowski (Pamela) and John Mankowski (Karen), as well as a host of nieces and nephews.  Janet was predeceased by her father, John, and her daughter, Jennifer Graham.

Janet was a strong and loving woman who spent a great portion of her life caring for others, whether personally or professionally.  Family was of the utmost importance to Janet.  She endured many physical and mental challenges along the way but served her family well as matriarch.

Janet worked as a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, and served as a traveling RN as well, which afforded her the opportunity to travel, another activity she dearly loved.  In addition, her faith led her on several mission trips, including doing God's work in China and Africa.

Janet was known for her great empathy and kindness, especially when it came to caring for animals.  She rescued several animals in her lifetime and looked after many pets over the years.

Janet said that her reward was her daughters and her gift was her grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by all her family.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers or material memorials at the service, friends consider a donation to the American Heart Association in Janet's name, as that was a charity she greatly supported.
