Schiek, James C., 66, passed away on February 27, 2008. James moved to the Brandon area in 1993 from Plano, Texas. He loved sports and played basketball in High School and College. He worked in sales, and after he retired he worked as a substitute teacher. James is survived by his loving family: wife of 14 years, Linda; sons, Trent (Heidi) Schiek, Ron (Julie) Letaw and Jeff (Melonie) Letaw; daughters, Noelle Demerest, Corrie (Jeff) Duffey, Lacey DeMara and Rebecca (Shaun) Wendland; brother, Karl (Dorothy) Schiek; sister, Bonnie (Jack) Taylor; and seven grandchildren. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
