Sanford, James L., 52 (Jimmy) surrounded by his friends and family at home, lost his battle with cancer on March 5, 2011. Jimmy was a fighter to the very end. Jimmy was born in Philadelphia, raised in Southern New Jersey and had moved to Florida 3 ½ years ago. Jimmy loved to tease and had a way of making everyone he ever came in contact with love him instantly because of his charm and witty humor. He was a loving husband and father, a football and baseball coach and an entrepreneur. Jims' favorite pastime was golfing. He loved to golf in Daufuskie, SC where he would spend time with family and friends. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jennifer (nee Wooden), his daughter, Jackie (Jordan) Muchnick, his 2 sons, Shawn Sanford and Michael Sanford, his parents, James and Barbara Sanford, his brother, David (Stephen Dotoratos) Sanford and his sister Sheri (Sean) Evans. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Valrico, FL, followed by a Celebration of Life' gathering at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
