Parks, James N (aka James N Krashowitz), 83, of Valrico, FL, peacefully passed away on November 22, 2009. Son of James and Minnie (Wood) Krashowitz, he was born in Flint, MI on December 23, 1925. Jim served his country proudly as a Navy Seabee during WWII, later attended Ferris State University and was a Catholic. He played baseball, basketball and drums during his school years, remaining a dedicated sports fan his entire life. Married 58 years, Donna and Jim have known each other since childhood. Accomplished in various careers, he found great pride in his citrus groves after moving to FL in 1959. Resilient, humorous and sometimes cantankerous, he was a wonderful provider to his family. Survived and loved by his wife, Donna (Fuller); daughter, Holly Parks Fowler and cherished grandson, Jeffrey Wayne Fowler all of Valrico; his brother and wife, Jerry and Shirley Parks of Edmore, MI and special aunt, Esther Wood Bryant of Shepherd, MI as well as cousins, nieces and nephews to mourn his passing. Jim was predeceased by his son, James Scott Parks, in June of 2007. A visitations will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Riverview, FL. Flowers accepted or memorial donations to any local food bank.
