CONKLIN, James R., 72 of Brandon, FL
entered into rest after a hard fought and
very courageous battle against cancer on
April 7, 2007 in his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born June 10, 1934 in Jackson, MI to
the late Ray and Alma Jean Conklin.
He graduated from Hanover Horton High School, Michigan and
moved to Tampa in 1960.
He retired in 1984 after serving 20 years with the City of Tampa Police
Department as a juvenile detective.
He was preceded in death by his brother,
William C. (Bill) Conklin.
He is survived by his family, his wife of
52 years, Roxana, children
Sheryl (Vince) Sallimo, Trilby, FL,
David (Myrna) Conklin, Lake Wales, FL,
Patricia (Jerry) Lemanski, Apollo Beach, FL,
Merri (fiancee, James) Cox, Cape Coral, FL,
Susan Conklin, Tampa, FL,
thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren,
sisters, Janet Gron, Hanover, MI and Linda Conklin, Hillsdale, MI as
well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, April 11, 2007
at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with visitation from
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm followed by the service at 2:00 pm.
Burial will be at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
