James Michael
Jensen
August 25, 1971 — December 30, 2019
|
On December 30, 2019, we lost our gentle giant, James Jensen at the age of 48. James was born on August 25, 1971 to Bonnie (Berg) Vornbrock and Bryon Jensen. He was raised in St. Cloud, MN, he lived in California for a while, eventually moving back to MN and resided in Minneapolis. He began working at Metro Sales, where he was a dedicated employee for 17 years. Through these years, he was grateful for the friendships he made and enjoyed his job. In 2007, while living in Minneapolis, he met Paul (Wordes) Berg-Drenth. On August 24, 2013, the two of them were joined as one in their beautiful backyard, surrounded by their families and close friends. The following summer they moved to Florida with their pets to enjoy the weather. He and Paul began making their memories. They loved spending time at the beautiful beaches and enjoyed their many trips to the Florida Keys, taking in wonderful restaurants along the water and watching the sunrise and sunsets off the waters. James had an endearing chuckle and a heart of gold, especially with his fur babies. He enjoyed walking with them in their neighborhood; although they did try his patience at times. James loved having family and friends visit to enjoy the beautiful home that he and Paul had made together. He enjoyed having his mom Bonnie, sister Karen, brother Jeff, niece Kailee and nephew Shea visit and taking them to the beach, taking them to experience his favorite places to eat, watching sunsets off the water. Going with Paul and his family to Disney, seeing it through the kid's eyes. Enjoying his trips back to MN to see his family. Their trips to Iowa to visit his mother-in-law, Charlene Whiteside, special brother-in-law, Danny Wordes (Deb), girls: Makayla, Maranda, special sister-in-law, Cheryl Wordes and girls Caprice, Jessica, Katie and their families. We now have all these wonderful memories to cherish. He will forever be loved and missed by his husband, Paul; his mother, Bonnie (Bob); sister, Karen (Eric) Fulkerson; brother, Jeffrey Jensen; niece, Kailee Jensen; nephew, Shea Rosha, all of MN; his fur babies: Maxx, Felix, Oscar and Harby, his family of aunts, uncles, cousins and family of many in-laws. James enjoyed camping along the Superior Shore with Paul, where his memorial gathering will be held on June 27, 2020 at the Split Rock State Park Trail Center, Two Harbors, MN from 1:00-5:00 pm. This was a place that he shared and made memories with loved ones.
