Obituary

James Robert (Jim) Jackson passed away on September 15th, 2021. James was born in Opp, Alabama on December 20, 1935,  and moved to Florida in the early 1950's. He was preceded in death by his parents William Riley Jackson and Rena Mae Nelson Jackson, first wife Jessie Marie Jacks Jackson and daughter Nancy Wallace. He is survived by wife, Evelyn, and children Marilyn (Robert), Jeana (Ralph), and Talbert (Kelly), as well as two brothers, Junior and Marvin and two sisters, Peggy and Helen. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.    James was a veteran of the Army.  He was a man of God with a big, booming personality that was only overshadowed by his story-telling abilities and warm hugs.  He was a boilermaker by trade and retired from Southeastern Construction and Maintenance. He was proud to be a Mason in good standing. James was an avid fisherman who loved to share his bounty through home fish fries that were known throughout the community.  He shared his talents through wood work, service to others and his sincere hospitality.  He was loved dearly and will be missed, but always remembere d.
