James Joseph DiChristofaro, 71, of Brandon Fl. Passed away peacefully Thursday, September 7th, 2021 at AdventHealth, Florida Hospital Tampa, with his loving daughter at his side.

James was the husband to the late Mary (Robin) R. Smith (DiChristofaro), father of the late James Joseph DiChristofaro II. His daughter Chelsey M. Johns (DiChristofaro), son-in-law Bradley A. Johns, and grandchild, Lillian S. Johns, survive him. His son Leif J. DiChristofaro also survives him.
Mr. DiChristofaro was a successful entrepreneur who began a computer/tech business when home computer and internet use was starting to boom. He raised his family of four with that business and other side projects. He courageously returned to college at the age of 70 to pursue a new endeavor and earned the title Advanced Gunsmith/Armorer.

James was a man of integrity and wisdom who dearly cherished his family. He was a loving father to James II and Chelsey, adoring "Papa" to Lillian, respected businessman, and friend to many.

In his early years, he built sailboats, traveled, and enjoyed the beach with its associated easy-going lifestyle. He was a lifelong learner and advocate. He encouraged others to pursue their dreams and taught anyone willing to learn something new.
