Cunningham, James Joseph, 93, of Valrico, went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his girls on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, Mr. Cunningham had been a local resident since 1987 after moving here from West Virginia. He was a veteran of the Canadian Navy and had served in WWII. A member of Grace Community Church, Mr. Cunningham enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his daughters; Laura (Patrick) Burch, Karen Mynes, sister; Donna (Greig) Hicks, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park; the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, 12973 N.
