Jim "Papo" Chapas of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 09, 2014, at the age of 59.
Jim made many friends over the last 30 years while working in the Industrial Valve industry, most recently with Pentair Valves. He had a passion for stereos and restoring vehicles. He loved the game of golf and spending time with his grandchildren. Those that loved him will miss his sarcasm, laughter, and enormous generosity.
Jim is survived by his mother, Sheila House; his loving wife, Megan Chapas; siblings, John & Donna DeGrasse, Heather & Ed Turner, Randi & Bob Verrocchio; beloved children, Jason and Jesse Chapas, Jaime Chapas and Toby Secondino, JayeAnne Johnson and Jennifer Chapas; as well as his nieces and nephews, Rae Ellen Machado, Sheila Helton, Heather Pierce, Thomas Pierce; and lastly his cherished grandchildren, Cody, Alexandra, Lilliana, Emily, Olivia, Barrett and Madi.
A memorial gathering will be from from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
