James John Barry, 86, of Brandon, passed away peacefully in his home on October 8, 2018 in Brandon FL.

James was born in Springfield Gardens NY on October 26, 1931 to Eleanor Doran and William Barry. He married Patricia Spellerberg on October 30, 1954 in Springfield Gardens NY. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Navy Seabees. He was a past Grand Knight and long standing member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his spouse Patricia; Daughters Maureen Barry, Carol Preziosi (Paul), Joan Delesky (Walter), Kate Wright, Gina Petrus (Drew), Trisha Dingwell (Bill), Chrissy Barry; Sister Eleanor Kiesewetter; Brothers Edward Barry (Barbara), Jack Barry (Nancy), J. Patrick Barry (Melissa); 18 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great great grandchild.

James is preceded in death by his parents Eleanor and William Barry; Brothers William Barry, Richard Barry, Brother-in-law Bob Kiesewetter and Sister-in-law Marge Barry.

The family of James wishes to extend their sincere thanks to his LifePath Hospice team of South Hillsborough County, the clergy and fellow members of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, and all of the family and friends whose love, help, and support over the last several years has meant so much to us.
