Mr. James Alvarez was born on October 5, 1991 in Altamonte Springs Florida to Benjamin and Ruth D. Alvarez. James attended the Riverview Elementary School, Gateway Elementary in Fort Myers from 1997 to 2002. James then went on to the Varsity Middle School where he attended from 2003 to 2005. James entered the Lehigh Senior High School followed by Leonard High School in 2006 and graduated from Leonard in 2009. While at Leonard High School James excelled in several sports including wrestling, football and was a member of the ROTC. James was born and raised in the Christian faith his parents taught him to follow but at the age of twelve he decided he wanted to be baptized as a witness of his devotion to the Lord. James was baptized at the Iglesia Cristiana Misionera in Lehigh where Rev. Angel Rios is the Pastor. James loved reading the bible and had read it many times over from cover to cover. Recently James began teaching Sunday School at the E Aqui Yo Vengo Pronto Church where Carlos Barrerio is the Pastor.
James was a loving son who had strong family loyalty. James was a loving, kind, and generous, faithful, loyal and hard working young man. James had a corky sense of humor. James enjoyed comic books, DC movies, and heavy metal Christian music. James leaves behind his loving parents and his brothers Peter, Zachary and Matthew. James was preceded in death by his grandparents Jesus & Angelina Rivera and his cousins Nicole Rivera and Emmanuel Orengo. James also leaves behind his; grandparents Benjamin & Norma Alvarez. His aunts; Denise Rivera (Wendell) Esther Alvarez, Ruth Orengo (Luis) Norma Rodriguez (Angel), Lydia Torres (Christopher) Uncles Samuel Rivera (Ronnie), and David Rivera (Melissa). James leaves all his cousins; Angel, Michael, Jocelyn, William, Benjamin, David, Samuel, Joyce Wendell, Kevin, Luis, Ruth, Christopher, Xavier, Stephanie, Jonathan, Angel and David Jr. A Viewing will take place tomorrow Friday, December 1, 2017 from 12-2 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, Funeral service to follow at 2pm.
