Robert Jake Kalicki (Jake) was born on January 12, 1999 to Jeff and Beth (Henderson) Kalicki. Jake departed this life to take his spot in Heaven, on October 20, 2016 at the age of 17. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Susan Kalicki.
Jake is survived by his parents, Jeff and Beth Kalicki; Brother, Ryan Kalicki; Grandparents, H.M. and Janet Henderson and Doug Kalicki; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jake attended Bevis Elementary, Randall Middle School and Newsome High School, where he was a Senior. Jake was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan and was excited about going to the University of Oklahoma in the fall of 2017, where his brother currently attends.
Jake was a special soul. He had an infectious personality he shared with everyone. Strangers sitting by themselves were strangers no more and those who were friends with Jake knew they had a "Best Friend" they could lean on anytime. He was the life of the party and could lift the spirit of any room and make everyone laugh, but most importantly Jake cared for others. For his family and those who were really close to Jake, he was a special energy that has left us too soon. We are heartbroken to lose Jake, but are proud he chose to be an organ donor, allowing us to know his unique brand of sunshine will continue to brighten the world thru others.
Jake will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother and friend. A Celebration of Life to remember Jake will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Fishhawk Fellowship church in Lithia, Florida. Reverends Brandon Kalicki and Chris Greenwood will officiate the service .
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to one of the organizations listed below. Jake lifted up so many, we feel donations would be a way to continue the gift of his generous spirit.
