Diaz, Israel 'Izzy', 79, of Brandon, passed away on August 31, 2018. Izzy proudly served in the US Army. He retired from the New York City Transit Authority after many years of service. He was a master fisherman and enjoyed a good game of dominoes. But the joy of Izzy's life came from spending time with his grandchildren. Izzy is survived by his loving family, children, Ramonita Diaz, Catherine Diaz, and J Carlos Diaz; grandchildren, Christopher Griffin, Tatiana Griffin, Talia Soto, Marquis Stewart, and Logan Diaz; and siblings, Maria Nieves, Ramon Diaz, and Angel Diaz. There will be a memorial gathering on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with a service at 4:45 pm.
