Ismael Antonio Rodriguez Pe¿a, 58, of Valrico passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 after a brave fight with cancer. He was the owner of Chicanos, Pesos and Mandys Restaurants in Lakeland.
Born in San Bernardo, Colombia, he was an entrepreneur in the Lakeland area for over 20 years. He enjoyed reading and taking care of his family who will miss him greatly.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Blanca Elsa, sons: Javier Ismael, William Andres, daughter: Julia Patricia, brothers: Hector Elias, Ricardo, Hugo Hernan, Campo Elias, sisters: Rosa Maria, Ana Beatricz, Julia Maria, father: Campo Elias and grandchildren, Monique Leshawn Rodriguez, Alicia Moselle Correa Rodriguez.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8: p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday July 20, 2009 at 10:00 am at Resurrection Church in Riverview. Burial will be at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
