Zamarripa, Isaiah, 87, of Brandon passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Born in Turner, Kansas, Mr. Zamarripa had been a local resident for 12 years after moving here from Huston, Texas. Prior to that, he had lived for 25 years in Puerto Rico. Mr. Zamarripa was a retired government meteorologist and had proudly served as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army during WW II. He was very active in the Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Idalisa; son Isaiah, Jr.; daughters, Adanivia; Nicky; brother Elias; sisters, Irene, Rachel; five grandchildren and one greta-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm follow visitation. Burial with military honors will be on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sarasota National Cemetery
