Joiner, Hugh H., 89, of Riverview, went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2010. Hugh was a native Floridian and grew up at the Florida United Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise, FL, where he met his wife of 69 years, Mary. Hugh proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He also served as the choir director at Palm River Baptist Church and more recently was a member at South Bay Church. He loved gospel music and playing the guitar and piano. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Betty King. Hugh is survived by his loving family, wife, Mary; children, Delores Lacy, Robert Lee (Jean) Joiner, Herb (Martha) Joiner, Jim (Susan) Joiner and Jean (Bill) Hollash; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the South Bay Church Youth Ministry, 13498 US 301 S, Riverview, FL 33578. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 7:00 pm at South Bay Church in Riverview, with a visitation one hour prior.
