Hernan
Aragon
September 9, 1936 — January 23, 2021
"Well done, good and faithful servant…Enter into the Joy of the Lord." (Matthew 25:21). Our beloved Hernan Aragon, affectionately called Abuelito, was called by God on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the age of 84. He was a native of Bolivia, and a resident of Tampa, Florida in his final days. Prior to his move to Florida, he resided in Mobile, AL for many years where he worked at the Mobile Country Club and attended Corpus Christi Church. Devoted husband of Luisa Mireya Aragon. Loving and proud father of Elmer Aragon (Ileana), Erik Aragon (Lorena) and Cristian Aragon (Ann). Beloved grandfather of David Aragon (Rachel), Alex Aragon (Jessica), Gaby Carlson (Brent), Christopher, and Sofia Grace. Joyful Great-grandfather of Sophia, Catherine, Dominic, and John Paul Aragon. Also survived by brother Dante Aragon (Leidy) and sisters Rosario Homsi (Manuel), Elia Caspary (Jorge), Gina Aspiazu (Hernando) and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents (Agustin Aragon and Filomena Pereira) and brother Rolando Aragon.
Abuelito grew up in Bolivia where he married the love of his life and welcomed his three sons while working at different industrial and financial institutions. Proudly started his own financial analyst organization. He was very admired and respected by his peers. He moved to the U.S. to be near his children and grand-children. His retirement years were devoted to spending time with family; proudly enjoying the accomplishments of his sons and grandchildren who admired and treasured his unconditional love for each and every one of them and also watching his great-grandchildren grow. He is remembered by family and friends for his strong faith, good-humored and cheerful yet polite personality.
The impact of his legacy on his family and descendants as a devout Catholic, faithful husband, exemplary and supportive father, devoted and caring brother, loving and encouraging grandfather will continue being fruitful for generations to come. His gentleness, cheerfulness and good heart, as well as his beautiful smile, will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to view a Mass of Celebration of his Life which will take place at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Tampa, FL on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11am. Interment of ashes will take place immediately following after the Service. Please share memories or condolences.
