Helene L. Heifner, age 85, Of Apollo Beach Florida died Wednesday, January 8, 2015 at Cypress Creek Assisted Living Residence in Sun City Center, Florida, of natural causes. Helene was born May 20, 1929 in Tarrytown, New York. She graduated from Pleasantville High school in 1947 after which she studied fashion design in NYC. In 1949 she married Robert William Brant III and lived in New Milford, Connecticut until the family moved to Deerfield Beach, Florida in 1957. In 1973 Helene married Jack Heifner and moved to Pompano Beach. Six month transitions between Minnesota and Florida continued until 2003 with their move to Apollo Beach. Helene is survived by her sons: Robin (Brenda), David (Ursula), Kevin (Kelly) and Steve (Patty) Brant; Janice Horn, Robert Heifner (Rosie), Jackie Ward; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; niece: Janet Hartkorn; nephew: Ricky (Candace) Hartkorn. She was preceded in death by her husbands Jack Heifner and RWBIII, her parents August & Gertrude Hartkorn and her brother Richard Hartkorn. Services will be held at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:00am with visitation one hour prior to the start of service. Helene and Jack became members of Calvary in March 2003. Helene was one of the early members of Calvary's "Sew Whats" ladies sewing circle. Family requests donations to the Calvary Lutheran Building Fund (Calvary Lutheran Church, 5309 US Highway 41, North Apollo Beach, Florida 33572) in lieu of flowers.
