Helen Cobb Conley (87), passed away March 11, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 1, 1935 in Millbrook, AL, where she was one of 9 children to the late Henry and Katie Cobb. She met her husband, Bill Conley as a teenager and married him on May 27, 1955. They had four sons and moved to Brandon in 1967. She was a member of New Hope, formerly First United Methodist Church of Brandon for over 50 years.

Helen graduated from Alabama College for Women with a Bachelor of Science on May 13, 1955. She was a first-grade teacher at Trapnell Elementary School in Turkey Creek for 10 years and a first-grade teacher at Brooker Elementary School in Brandon until she retired.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Conley, Steve Conley (Sally), Stan Conley, Tommy Conley (Constance); grandchildren, Jennifer Conley, Scotty Conley (Lydia), Jessica Richard (Greg), Stan Liberatore (Holly), Katie Bratcher, Maisen Conley and Tate Conley; 8 great-grandchildren; and her younger brother Richard "Dicky" Cobb (Patricia).

Helen was a Christian and loved the Lord. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed so much by all that knew her.
