H.E. (Harvey) Harlow, age 84, of Brandon, FL passed away on June 28, 2018. He was born August 16, 1933 in Samaria, Kentucky. He later moved to the coal mining community of Bartley, WV. H.E. attended Big Creek High School and starred on the football team. Local media named him the "Bartley Bullet" because of his skills and speed on the field. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served as a corporal. After leaving the Marine Corps, he met the love of his life, or what he fondly referred to as, his "darling". In 1961 they moved to Brandon, FL. H.E. was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, and the AMVETS (American Veterans). He was a huge fan of college football and the NFL, faithfully following the FSU Seminoles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Chris Harlow; two sons, Michael Harlow (Debbie) and Brian Harlow(Lea); four grandchildren, Hayden Harlow (Kaley), Dustin Harlow (Sarah), Mallory Medico (Anthony), and Tyler Harlow; his brothers, Curtis Harlow, Bobby Harlow, Gary Harlow (Patty), and sisters, Linda Allison, Dottie Crabtree (Ron) and Jody Jacobson (Steve). He is predeceased by brother, Shannon Harlow and sister, Susie Harlow. Donations may be made in memory of Harvey Harlow to the Fisher House at the James A Haley Veterans Hospital, 13515 Lake Terrace Lane, Tampa, FL 33637
